The Michigan Nanny Authority is now interviewing for the following position:

A loving family in Ada is seeking a Full-Time Nanny for 35 hours per week!

New-to-Michigan Parents are looking to hire an experienced and reliable Career Nanny to provide top-notch loving care and consistent learning and development to the family’s two daughters, who are 2.5 years old and 8-months-old.  Nanny will work 7:30am to 5:30pm each Monday, Thursday, and Friday, and the additional 5 hours each week can be determined and set by the nanny and parents.  Parents will guarantee these 35 hours per week.  Parents left behind two much-adored nannies in the states they lived before Michigan and are very excited to welcome the newest member of their parenting team!  The mother starts her new job in January, but the family’s new Nanny will be able to start right away!

The Nanny will partner with the parents to care for the emotional, social, developmental, and educational needs of the family’s two youngest children.  Nanny’s primary daily focus will be caring for and loving the two girls, engaging them with stories, songs, and toys and helping them learn through playtime and exploration.  They will be encouraged to have daily outside time and plan outings, play dates, and other activities that encourage learning, development, and socialization.  The family also has two boys who are 9 and 12 and enrolled in school full-time; they will need occasional transportation to/from school (parents generally provide school transportation) and limited help meeting their needs on school breaks, sick days, and snow days.

Nanny will also help with light child-related housekeeping such as doing the children’s laundry, tidying and maintaining organization in the children’s rooms and play areas (while including the 2.5-year-old as much as possible), and washing bottles, doing dishes and other clean up after meals and activities.

The ideal Nanny for this family has a deeply ingrained passion for working with children, has a strong moral compass, and has a positive and inclusive outlook on life.  They are a professional career Nanny with solid work ethic and a high level of responsibility and dependability.  They will have the ability to multi-task to meet the needs of two children of different age levels at once, and will have a collaborative approach to sharing ideas and feedback with the parents about the children’s development and needs as they change.  They are a maternal and loving caregiver who will naturally become an important part of the family and parenting team and will love the children in their care as if they were their own.  They are also a creative and engaging playmate, who believes in laying an early foundation for learning by engaging the children with books, songs, toys, and exploring the world around them.

This position requires a one-year commitment to the family.  Pay will start at $20 per hour, and nanny will have guaranteed pay, paid time off, paid holidays, mileage reimbursement and other standard nanny benefits.  Details will be discussed with qualified nannies at an in-person interview.
